Hierarchical Digital-twin for Cyber-Physical Production Systems

Published Nov. 4, 2021 Deadline Dec. 31, 2022

Digital-twin is the core technology for making prediction on different design choices of a Cyber-Physical Production System.
Building a digital-twin from scratch is a too complex task, but the composition of already predesigned models could be an effective shortcut. However, this could imply the integration of models at different abstraction levels and based on different computational models.
The thesis must build a methodology for making this integration starting from state-of-the-art technologies and languages such as FMI/FMU and SysML.
This activity will be integrated in the production line of the ICE Laboratory.
