Research Area
The IoT4Care research group works on the design and validation of systems to promote the well-being and health of people through technologies related to the Internet of Things (IoT) such as, for example, environmental sensors and actuators, wearable devices, and smart objects in general. These systems are designed, in particular, for monitoring, coaching, and remote rehabilitation of the elderly and people suffering from acute and chronic neurological diseases such as, for example, stroke, Parkinson's, and neuropathies. The group is composed of an interdisciplinary team that includes engineers, computer scientists, medical doctors, and psychologists from the departments of Computer Science and Neuroscience, Biomedicine, and Movement.
